XODIAC releases AI version MV for new song ‘Alibi’

Group XODIAC has maximized its surreal fantasy mood by releasing the AI version music video of their fourth single ‘Alibi’, titled ‘Alibi: MOONLIGHT BLOOD ALLIANCE’.

The AI version music video ‘Alibi: MOONLIGHT BLOOD ALLIANCE’ delivers overwhelming immersion with a series of fantasy movie-like scenes, from riding horses to battling dragons and warriors walking through ruins. Shots of giant wings unfolding behind the members and scenes of casting spells further deepen the world-building, naturally harmonizing with the song.

‘Alibi’ is a hybrid pop song that blends intense bass with mysterious synth sounds. Centered around the message ‘Love sometimes becomes the perfect alibi,’ the song dramatically portrays emotions of truth and falsehood, temptation and salvation. The tension-filled progression and delicate vocals of the song, combined with the fantasy narrative and dark, mysterious atmosphere of the AI version music video, solidify the overall concept.

Following the AI technology based on Google VEO3 showcased in ‘TO. U’ during their previous unit activities (X-UNIT), XODIAC has expanded their use of AI in ‘Alibi’. In addition to the live-action ‘Alibi’ music video, they have elevated their production methods by releasing an AI-version music video entirely produced by AI, utilizing Kling technology (a personalized AI avatar service).

Notably, the two videos are completed as one narrative, with the scene of the nine members stepping into the AI virtual world in the final scene of the live-action MV aligning with the scene of the same nine members returning to reality in the AI version MV.

The prince and warrior concept unfolding in the AI world is planned to be implemented in upcoming music show stages. In particular, a style similar to the costumes featured in the AI version music video was showcased on the KBS2 ‘Music Bank’ stage on the 21st. Future stages also plan to reflect the world view within the AI in reality direction and styling, presenting an extended performance where AI and reality naturally connect.
