Stray Kids Wins ‘Fans’ Choice’ Award… “STAY’s Love is Our Biggest Strength” [2025 MAMA AWARDS]

The group Stray Kids won the ‘Fans’ Choice’ trophy.

On the afternoon of the 28th, the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ was held at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. The host for the first day, Chapter 1, was actor Park Bo-gum. On the 29th, Chapter 2 will proceed with actress Kim Hye-soo as the host.

On this day, Stray Kids became the winner of the ‘Fans’ Choice’ award. The ‘Fans’ Choice’ is a category decided through two rounds of voting, combining 90% from Mnet Plus votes and 10% from Twitter (X) votes. A total of 20 teams, the TOP 10 male and TOP 10 female artists, are awarded.

Stray Kids accepted the trophy on stage while wearing memorial ribbons for the Hong Kong fire tragedy. They expressed their feelings, stating, “It’s been a really long time since we’ve attended the honorable event of ‘MAMA.’ We sincerely thank STAY (fandom name) for giving us such a great gift.”

They continued, “Just like the name ‘Fans’ Choice,’ the love you send us is always our greatest strength. For about 8 years, thank you so much for always ‘staying’ by our side in the same place with the same heart. We will strive to be artists who can repay and give back that love. Thank you,” expressing their affection for their fans.

They also expressed their condolences, saying, “We would like to take this opportunity today to offer our deepest condolences for the recent tragic accident. A truly unfortunate incident occurred recently. You are no longer alone. We will strive to give you strength through our music.”

Meanwhile, on the 26th, a major fire broke out at ‘Wong Fuk Court,’ a high-rise apartment complex in Tai Po, Hong Kong. As of the afternoon of the 28th, the death toll has reached 128, with 79 injured. The organizer, CJ ENM, decided to arrange a memorial time in line with the local atmosphere of mourning and to make donations to support the victims.
