While various artist performances are actively being held to mark the end of the year, some are finding themselves unable to smile.

On the 22nd, Ock Ju-hyun announced on her account that her solo concert, the first in seven years, would be postponed. She explained that the concert production team was experiencing difficulties with the directing due to the unexpectedly large scale of the performance, making it unavoidable to postpone the show. She concluded by saying, “I will prepare the dream I’ve worked on for so long even better to deliver a gift-like stage. I will definitely show you the performance I promised.”

Singer Huh Gak also announced the cancellation of his year-end concert. Huh Gak’s agency, OS Project, stated that the ‘2025-2026 Huh Gak National Tour Concert Gak: Ear-End,’ scheduled to begin on November 28th, has been completely canceled due to the concert planning company’s inability to fulfill the contract. Huh Gak conveyed this information through his account and offered his sincere apologies to his fans.

Im Han-byul, an artist from the same agency, also abruptly canceled his performance ‘Christmastar,’ scheduled for December 20th. He expressed his disappointment over the cancellation of the year-end stage by writing on his account, “So upset and annoyed.”

The costs for the performances canceled by the three artists will be fully refunded through the point of purchase.

This is not the first time that scheduled performances have been suddenly canceled due to issues with the organizers. In May 2024, the ‘Bluespring Festival,’ which was scheduled to be held, was canceled entirely two days before the performance due to a unilateral notification from the organizers. At the time, ticket buyers did not receive immediate refunds for their purchases, and some victims reported not receiving refunds for up to six months. The organizers were accused of pocketing the difference in ticket prices resulting from the unilateral cancellation, and according to the police, the amount of damage was estimated at approximately 45 million won.
