KATSEYE, along with Huntrix from ‘K-POP Demon Hunters’, secured the ‘longest chart-in on Billboard Hot 100, 1st and 2nd place’ as a girl group within the year. It draws attention as an indicator proving that they are the female group that received the most enthusiastic response worldwide this year.

According to the Billboard Hot 100 charts released by the end of this month, KATSEYE ranked 2nd and Huntrix ranked 1st respectively for the longest chart-in period among girl groups. KATSEYE has dominated the Hot 100 for 18 consecutive weeks with their Latin pop-style song ‘Gabriela’, while Huntrix, a virtual female trio from ‘K-POP Demon Hunters’, has reigned for 22 consecutive weeks with their song ‘Golden’.

When narrowed down to physical girl groups, KATSEYE performance this year is an overwhelming 1st place. In addition to ‘Gabriela’, which has become a global bestseller, they also shook the top ranks of the chart with their song ‘Gnarly’, released earlier this year.

KATSEYE’s mega-hit song ‘Gabriela’ is still ranked 31st on the latest chart dated the 29th. Their global standing, proven by the ‘Hot 100’, has also led to the dream awards ceremony, the ‘Grammy’, which will be held early next year. KATSEYE is nominated for ‘Best New Artist’, one of the four main Grammy award categories.

Born under Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s ‘K-pop methodology’, KATSEYE debuted in the US in June last year after going through HYBE America’s systematic training system. KATSEYE is currently conducting their first nationwide tour, ‘BEAUTIFUL CHAOS’, across 16 shows in 13 major North American cities.
