[Group RESCENE announced they would spread sweet scents with their double title tracks.

RESCENE (Woni, Liv, Minami, May, Zena) held a showcase for their third mini-album ‘lip bomb’ on the 25th at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

First, RESCENE shared their feelings about their comeback. May said, “I’m so, so excited. I’m looking forward to and nervous about showing a new side of ourselves again. We will work hard to captivate many people with even sweeter and more fragrant music,” and Zena said, “I’m really curious and excited to see how you will receive the album and the stage.”

‘lip bomb’ is a portmanteau derived from ‘lip balm,’ replacing ‘balm’ with ‘bomb.’ It is an album that simultaneously captures the gentle charm of a lip balm and a burst of vibrant energy.

Won-i explained, “It signifies that we will gently embrace and spread a fragrance widely, like a lip balm applied to our lips. We want to make listeners’ days sweet with music conveyed through their lips.”

Minami added, “We have been running with the concept of fragrance so far. Since we’re encountering fragrance in a new way with lip balm, I think fans will be looking forward to our new side.”

In this album, RESCENE is highlighting their double title tracks ‘Heart Drop’ and ‘Bloom.’ ‘Heart Drop’ was pre-released.

May described ‘Bloom’ as containing “a hopeful message that anyone can be the protagonist of their own life,” and Zena explained ‘Heart Drop’ as containing “sweet whispers that draw you into the scent without you even realizing it. It’s full of a dreamy feeling.”

They also shared music video episodes. Minami said, “In the latter half of the ‘Bloom’ music video, there’s a scene where we all set off fireworks. It was the first time the five of us had set off fireworks together, and we genuinely enjoyed it without thinking of it as filming. The fireworks were so beautiful.”

Won-i recalled, “I remember the ‘Heart Drop’ music video. Due to unexpected weather issues, everyone was suddenly flustered. We had to film, but it rained, so the filming was postponed. However, that became an even better memory for us. I think it was a time that made us closer.”

They also explained the reason for choosing ‘Heart Drop’ as the pre-release. Ri-vue said, “We chose it because it’s a song that can intuitively show RESCENE’s unique dreamy atmosphere and the sweetness of berry fragrance. There were many reactions saying if the pre-release was this good, how much better would the official title track be.”

Won-i confessed, “Within the group, we debated whether ‘Bloom’ or ‘Heart Drop’ was better, and ‘Bloom’ had more votes. It was a close call even within the company, but ‘Bloom’ was slightly more popular. We thought ‘Bloom’ had a more addictive melody and wouldn’t get tiresome, so we decided it should be the title track. Minami and I were on the ‘Heart Drop’ team, and the other members were on the ‘Bloom’ team.”

May stated, “When I first heard ‘Heart Drop,’ it was a fast-paced song that reminded me of a runway scene. We thought a pre-release song should have a bit more of a ‘burst,’ so ‘Heart Drop’ was chosen as the pre-release track. For ‘Bloom,’ I thought it matched the feeling of RESCENE’s music, and as I sang it more, ‘Bloom’ became more of my style.”

Finally, RESCENE mentioned their goals. They expressed their determination to surpass ‘Love Attack,’ which received great love.

Won-i emphasized, “Many people loved ‘Love Attack’ so much that we felt pressure. We hope ‘Bloom’ will surpass it this time. We want ‘Bloom’ to become famous worldwide, including in music charts.”
